Overview

The Regional Director of Sales is responsible for the strategic leadership, growth, and performance of the sales function across an assigned region. This role drives market expansion, referral development, and revenue growth through the execution of targeted sales strategies and the development of high-performing teams.

The Regional Director partners closely with pharmacy operations, clinical leadership, and executive stakeholders to align sales initiatives with operational capabilities and organizational priorities. This leader ensures consistent execution of Amerita's value proposition while fostering strong relationships with referral sources, health systems, and key partners to support long-term growth and patient access.

Responsibilities

    Develops and executes a comprehensive regional sales strategy to achieve revenue, growth, and market share objectives
  • Identifies and pursues new business opportunities, including health systems, physician groups, and strategic partnerships
  • Analyzes market trends, competitive activity, and referral patterns to inform strategic direction
  • Supports integration and growth initiatives related to new locations, services, or acquisitions
  • Analyzes market trends using data and technology
  • Establishes clear performance expectations, KPIs, and accountability measures across the region
  • Monitors sales performance and pipeline activity; implement action plans to address gaps and drive results
  • Ensures consistent execution of sales processes, CRM utilization, and reporting standards
  • Drives disciplined pipeline management and forecasting accuracy
  • Leads, mentors, and develops a team of sales leaders and account executives
  • Recruits, onboards, and retains top sales talent within the region
  • Conducts regular coaching, performance reviews, and development planning
  • Fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Builds and maintains executive-level relationships with key referral sources, health systems, and strategic partners
  • Represents Amerita in the market to strengthen brand presence and referral alignment
  • Collaborates with marketing to support campaigns, events, and market positioning
  • Partners with pharmacy operations, nursing, and clinical teams to align sales growth with operational capacity
  • Collaborates with executive leadership to ensure alignment with organizational priorities
  • Supports communication and coordination across departments to enhance customer experience
  • Ensures adherence to all regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and applicable healthcare regulations
  • Maintains compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards
  • Promotes a culture of integrity and accountability across the sales organization
  • Provides direct leadership to regional sales managers and/or senior account executives
  • Responsible for hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of team members
  • Conducts regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and development planning


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or related field required; Master's degree preferred
  • 8-12 years of progressive healthcare sales experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Experience in infusion therapy, specialty pharmacy, or home health strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and leading multi-site or regional sales teams
  • Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement, payer dynamics, and referral networks
  • Proven ability to lead and scale high-performing sales teams in a complex healthcare environment
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen with the ability to translate strategy into execution
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and executive presence
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Percentage of Travel: 75%+
  • Driving Position: No

**To perform this role will require frequently sitting, and typing on a keyboard with fingers, and occasionally standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing (stairs/ladders), kneeling, crouching, and stooping. The physical requirements will be the ability to push/pull and lift/carry 1-10 lbs**
