QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain/Production and Operations Management or equivalent experience (5+ year Buyer/Planner experience) ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. In doing so, SBIR has become the preferred supplier to major domestic and international manufacturers of commercial and military E-O sensors and systems. $75,000.00/yr. - $105,000.00/yr. - DOE On-site ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Purchase the material required for production including raw materials, machined parts, electronic components, tools, and other supplies. * Develop relationships with suppliers, negotiate prices, and coordinates logistics. * Initiates RFQ's and onboards capable suppliers. * Analyze part usage and sales forecasts to set up the appropriate planning policies in the company's MRP system. * Assists the Purchasing team with technical planning questions. * Manages supply chain projects with limited supervision. * Represent the Materials team in ECO meetings. * Monitors and evaluates supplier performance, including supplier development and process/cost improvement. * Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully. * Participates in the Materials group's continuous improvement projects. * Must be able to work with limited or no supervision. * Must be able to work full time onsite. | |
