As a Security Officer Patrol Services in Chesapeake, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal in a dynamic tech-focused location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, and support access activity while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to all persons at the location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a technology-focused environment.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observed activity and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, work areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify access permissions when required, and report maintenance, operational, and/or security-related issues observed during patrols or routine activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
