Job Description Job Title: Engineering Services Group Manager Pay Rate: $95,000-115,000/yearly Location: Indianapolis, IN 46241 Area Code: 317 Employment Type: Direct, W2 Shifts: 1st / Hybrid #manufacturingengineering #qualityengineering #teamleadership Job Summary: Belcan is seeking a results-driven Group Leader to oversee project execution and team leadership within our manufacturing & Quality Engineering business unit. In this high-impact role, you will serve as the primary customer interface, manage a team of engineers (20-40), and ensure the successful delivery of quality and manufacturing engineering services across multiple programs. This role blends technical oversight with team development, project management, and customer relationship building. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced, customer-focused environments. Key Responsibilities: Leading and developing a growing organization of ~30-40 engineers and technical professionals, creating a positive, accountable, and engaged team culture Providing oversight and prioritization across 20+ active projects, ensuring clarity, execution discipline, and alignment with customer expectations Partnering with customers, program leaders, and functional stakeholders to ensure work is delivered with quality, consistency, and responsiveness Coaching and mentoring team members, including identifying and preparing future technical and people leaders within the organization Helping bring structure to complexity-balancing resources, timelines, and priorities across multiple initiatives Learning and growing into broader business leadership responsibilities with support from Belcan leadership Required Qualifications: Bachelor"s degree (engineering or technical discipline strongly preferred) 5+ years of relevant leadership experience 5+ years of exposure to manufacturing and quality engineering environments Demonstrated experience leading projects or programs involving multiple stakeholders, timelines, and deliverables Prior experience leading or coordinating people in a technical environment (formal people leader, project lead, technical lead, or functional lead roles all qualify) Proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous priorities in a customerfocused environment Strong communication skills with the ability to influence, align, and drive decisions across technical and nontechnical audiences U.S. Citizenship required due to project compliance Willingness to travel occasionally (<25%) Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience managing or significantly influencing large teams (15+ people) or complex, matrixed organizations Experience overseeing multiple concurrent projects or programs (10+), including coordination of scope, schedule, and resourcing Previous people management experience, including performance feedback, mentoring, or development planning Experience working in or supporting Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and/or Quality environments for major customers or OEMs Background in an engineering services or consulting organization (Belcan experience is a strong plus) Familiarity with project management best practices; PMP or formal project management training preferred but not required Experience partnering directly with customers and external stakeholders Why Join Belcan?
