Senior Facility Manager - JLL

What this job involves - The Senior Facility Manager is the single point of contact for the areas of responsibility and its occupants and act as their service provider liaison. The role is to ensure the JLL team (employee and 3rd party partners) deliver FM and workplace services resulting in safe, code-compliant, functional, comfortable, energy efficient and attractive facilities and site infrastructure. The FM manages expense budgets within approved allocations and provides monthly updates to year-end projections. Oversees gray area (GAP) maintenance projects within their campus per client's specifications and timeline. Provide cost competitive and resource efficient methods for delivering high-volume and relatively small-dollar facility projects.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Serve as primary JLL Client Relationship Manager, establishing and maintaining stakeholder relationships while managing communications and measuring client satisfaction through formal and informal feedback.
  • Champion safety-first culture and ensure all JLL staff and third-party vendors meet EHS, GxP, SLA, KPI requirements and regulatory compliance standards in GMP manufacturing environments.
  • Oversee critical engineering systems across laboratory and GMP facilities including HVAC, cleanroom environments, process utilities, backup power, and specialized ventilation with continuous monitoring and optimization.
  • Manage contract scope delivery while identifying opportunities for operational improvements, cost savings, and enhanced customer experience across multiple sites.
  • Develop, implement, and standardize preventive maintenance programs, engineering procedures, and service level provisions across all managed facilities.
  • Lead and develop FM team members through goal setting, performance management, succession planning, and recognition programs while maintaining effective cross-facility resource allocation.
  • Manage site operating expenses to meet savings targets, develop annual operating budgets, provide variance analysis, and submit forecasts by required deadlines.
  • Ensure completion of all training, audit responses, action items, and critical preventive maintenance while maintaining strict adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate validation protocols for critical systems, manage complex upgrades with engineering consultants, and support effective emergency response procedures.
  • Identify growth opportunities by documenting best practices, supporting new technology implementations, managing scope transitions, and actively pursuing service expansion into related areas.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or related discipline) preferred, or equivalent technical experience in laboratory/GMP facility systems

  • 5+ year's BioPharma or GMP facility management experience with demonstrated ability to exercise proper judgment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Energy Reduction and Sustainability Programs.

  • Experience in driving OSHA compliant safety program and maintaining environmental compliance related to facility operations (Air, Water, Waste Management).

  • Experience in supporting compliant Environmental, Health and Safety training program related to facility management operations.

  • Proficiency in building automation systems (BAS) and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)

  • Understanding of cGMP engineering requirements including qualification protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ)

Location: Based in Westborough, MA with travel to Cambridge, MA

Estimated compensation for this position:

130,000.00 - 154,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
