DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position focuses on maintaining clean, safe, and orderly facilities and grounds at Troop Headquarters. The work supports daily operations by providing well-kept spaces that allow staff to perform their duties effectively. As a Custodial Worker 1, you will perform the following duties:

  • Floor Care: Sweep, mop, vacuum, buff, and wax floors throughout the building
  • Restroom Cleaning: Clean and restock restrooms, including sinks, toilets, urinals, and showers
  • Waste Removal: Empty trash and recycling containers and place materials in outdoor receptacles
  • Surface Cleaning: Wash windows, dust surfaces, and replace light bulbs as needed
  • Outdoor Upkeep: Clear walkways of snow and debris and maintain clean outdoor areas
  • Equipment Handling: Store and care for custodial supplies, tools, and equipment

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment. 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
