Overview
AskSage (BigBear.ai company) is seeking a Enterprise Operations Partner to operate as the strategic and operational extension of the EVP across a P&L that spans Development & Engineering, Operations, Delivery & Customer Success, Sales, Finance, and Marketing. This role amplifies the EVP's capacity to lead a rapidly scaling, revenue-generating business-enabling faster decisions, sharper resource allocation, tighter alignment, and measurable impact on top-line growth, margin, and customer outcomes. The Enterprise Operations Partner holds the full operational and financial picture of the GenAI Platforms & Products P&L, anticipates leadership priorities before they are articulated, and translates executive intent into organized action that drives bookings, revenue, retention, gross margin, and operating efficiency. The role partners with all functional leaders within GenAI Platforms & Products and coordinates across Ask Sage and BigBear.ai corporate functions, operating at the direction and on behalf of the EVP-earning influence through trust, judgment, discretion, and a relentless commitment to making the EVP and the business measurably better. What you will do P&L Impact & Business Performance * Drive the operating rhythm that keeps the business on plan-weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews and forecast cycles-ensuring each is decision-oriented, data-grounded, and tied to measurable financial and operational outcomes. * Translate the EVP's strategic intent into prioritized, resourced, and tracked initiatives, holding functional leaders accountable for commitments that drive revenue growth, margin expansion, retention, and product velocity. * Partner with Finance to pressure-test plans, scenarios, and investment decisions; surface variances early; and prepare the EVP for every corporate review, board touchpoint, and investment conversation with a defensible point of view. * Identify and unlock leverage in the business-spotting underperforming workstreams, stalled deals, capacity constraints, and operational friction-and mobilize owners to convert insight into financial impact. Organizational Awareness & Strategic Advisory * Maintain a real-time understanding of the operational and commercial landscape-what is moving, stalled, at risk, and what requires the EVP's attention before being asked. * Serve as the EVP's confidential advisor, offering candid perspective, pattern recognition, and situational intelligence on organizational dynamics, emerging risks, customer escalations, and strategic opportunities. * Anticipate the EVP's needs, surface gaps and issues, and proactively remove obstacles before they become leadership- or revenue-level problems. * Conduct research and prepare analyses on markets, competitors, customers, products, and internal performance to support high-quality decision-making. Cross-Functional Alignment & Business Rhythm * Serve as the connective tissue across the GenAI Platforms & Products organization, ensuring the EVP's strategic intent is translated consistently across Engineering, Operations, Delivery & Customer Success, Sales, Finance, and Marketing. * Coordinate with BigBear.ai corporate functions on compliance, reporting alignment, financial close support, and enterprise requirements-without diluting the P&L's focus on growth and execution. * Design, facilitate, and manage the operating cadence (staff meetings, business reviews, planning cycles, offsites, hackathons), ensuring each is purposeful, well-structured, decision-driven, and tied to outcomes that move the P&L. Executive Operations * Own and orchestrate the EVP's dynamic calendar as a strategic instrument, ensuring time is invested against the highest-value customers, partners, decisions, and growth opportunities across the P&L. * Serve as the EVP's gatekeeper and primary point of contact for internal and external communications, screening, prioritizing, and routing requests to protect focus and ensure nothing critical is missed. * Prepare the EVP to lead by assembling briefing materials, executive summaries, decision frameworks, customer and deal context, competitive intelligence, and financial backdrop ahead of every significant engagement. * Capture, track, and drive accountability for action items and commitments arising from leadership, customer, and corporate meetings-closing loops on the EVP's behalf. Special Projects & Initiatives * Lead or support high-priority, P&L-impacting initiatives assigned by the EVP-go-to-market motions, pricing and packaging, organizational design, M&A diligence and integration, customer escalations, and other cross-functional efforts requiring rapid execution under ambiguity. * Support board, investor, and corporate-development activities, including preparation of board materials, investor briefings, diligence coordination, and post-close integration planning. * Serve as a cultural barometer-sensing morale, engagement, and cultural shifts that affect performance and retention-and surfacing insights to the EVP and HRBP to inform action. * Maintain a warm, approachable, and professional presence across the organization, ensuring team members at all levels feel connected to leadership. What you need to have * 15+ years of progressive experience as Chief of Staff, Executive Business Partner, or Executive Operations leader supporting C-Suite, EVP, or SVP-level P&L owners-ideally in technology, SaaS, or product-driven organizations operating at venture, growth, or public-company scale. * Demonstrated track record as a force multiplier for senior executives, with tangible contributions to revenue growth, margin expansion, operational efficiency, or customer outcomes-driven through influence and judgment, not positional authority. * Hands-on experience designing and operating executive cadences, performance dashboards, and reporting frameworks used to track enterprise priorities and inform leadership decisions. * Strong business and financial acumen; comfort reading P&Ls, forecasts, pipeline, and product/customer metrics, and translating them into clear narratives and decisions for an executive audience. Direct experience with budget ownership, expense oversight, and cash-flow analysis is expected. * Direct experience supporting board, investor, and corporate-development activities-board books and agendas, investor presentations, diligence coordination, and integration planning through M&A or capital events. * Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across Finance, HR, Legal, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to drive alignment and execution of company priorities. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint), Google Workspace, and Visio/Lucid or similar diagramming tools. * Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including executive-level presentation development for boards, investors, and senior leadership. * Superior planning, time management, and organizational skills with uncompromising follow-through, accuracy, and attention to detail. * Proven ability to handle highly confidential financial, personnel, customer, and strategic matters with absolute integrity and discretion. * Thrives in fast-paced, high-growth, distributed/remote environments with competing priorities, frequent pivots, and sustained intensity; remains composed, effective, and forward-looking under pressure. * Naturally collaborative with an ownership mentality; inspires trust through reliability, emotional intelligence, and professional maturity across diverse stakeholders. What we'd like you to have * Experience operating alongside executive leadership in government contracting, defense technology, or federal SaaS environments. * Direct experience supporting a P&L owner through annual operating planning, forecasting, QBRs, and board or corporate reporting cycles. * Experience supporting M&A diligence, transaction execution, and post-close integration in a technology or high-growth setting. * Familiarity with financial systems and reporting tools used in corporate or government contracting environments. * Experience with Monday.com, Salesforce, or similar project, work management, and CRM platforms. * Working knowledge of Generative AI, AI/ML technologies, agentic platforms, or cloud-based SaaS products and their commercial models. * Experience shaping employee engagement, culture programs, leadership offsites, hackathons, or organizational events in a high-growth setting. * Familiarity with compliance frameworks relevant to government technology (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST, DoD IL environments). * Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree in business, organizational leadership, or a related discipline preferred. Equivalent demonstrated impact on business performance will be considered.
