Learn more atstandardelectricco.com. Job Overview: Perform startup of new home standby commercial and industrial generators. Complete preventive maintenance and/or repair activities on installed home standby, commercial and industrial generators. Perform load tests on generators. Apply the use of specialized tools and follow documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete basic repair including stocking required parts. Escalate unresolved maintenance activity as per documented schedules and standards on power generation products in the field. Requirements: * High school diploma or GED required. * Skilled trade training and certification is required. * Basic level of knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products. * Knowledge of load banks and capability of performing load tests on generators. * Knowledge of setting up transfer switch controls and related electronic components. * Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance capability, specifically pertaining to generators is preferred. * Ability to understand diagnostic tools.
