The ideal candidate will have advanced training inlaparoscopicand robotic surgerywith a focus on foregut, bariatrics and or abdominal wall reconstruction.Candidates should be committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Faculty members are expected to support the tripartite mission of the Department of Surgery and NYU Grossman School of Medicine:clinical excellence, education, and research. Responsibilities include active participation in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as engagement in clinical, outcomes, or health services research.

At NYU Langone Hospital - Brooklyn, our Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP) is a high-performing, patient-centered program with full 3-year accreditation, reflecting our commitment to national standards for safety and quality.

The selected candidate will join a collaborativeteam of surgeons, advanced practice providers, dietitians, and support staff dedicated tooptimizingoutcomes and expanding access to care within the Brooklyn community.

NYU Langone Hospital - Brooklyn is part of NYU Langone Health, a world-class, patient-centered academic medical center and one of the nation's premier institutions for clinical care, biomedical research, and medical education. Facultyappointmentwill be at a rankcommensuratewith experience within NYU Grossman School of Medicine.



  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery (American Board of Surgery)





  • Fellowship training inBariatric Surgery, Minimally Invasive Surgery, orAbdominal Wall Reconstruction





  • Stronglaparoscopic and robotic surgical skills required





  • Eligibility forNew York State medical licensure





  • Commitment to academic surgery, including teaching and research
