The ideal candidate will have advanced training inlaparoscopicand robotic surgerywith a focus on foregut, bariatrics and or abdominal wall reconstruction.Candidates should be committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Faculty members are expected to support the tripartite mission of the Department of Surgery and NYU Grossman School of Medicine:clinical excellence, education, and research. Responsibilities include active participation in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as engagement in clinical, outcomes, or health services research. At NYU Langone Hospital - Brooklyn, our Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP) is a high-performing, patient-centered program with full 3-year accreditation, reflecting our commitment to national standards for safety and quality. The selected candidate will join a collaborativeteam of surgeons, advanced practice providers, dietitians, and support staff dedicated tooptimizingoutcomes and expanding access to care within the Brooklyn community.
