The IT Field Support Technician provides technical support for end users and IT infrastructure across multiple locations. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting hardware, software, and network systems while delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable working independently in the field.

Job Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and resolve onsite and remote hardware, software, and connectivity issues for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, and printers.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows software, desktop/mobile/network hardware, LAN /WAN network routing and switching, and technical repairs involving parts replacement.
  • Perform network support tasks including cabling/termination, switch/AP installation, basic routing, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate with centralized IT teams, vendors, and service providers as needed.
  • Document incidents, service requests, inventory, and procedures within the ticketing system.
  • Support IT projects such as office moves, hardware refreshes, and new site deployments.
  • Ensure adherence to security policies, IT technical standards and processes, and change control procedures.
  • Provide professional, customer-focused support to users with varying levels of technical knowledge.
  • Maintain awareness of construction hazards and routinely use Personal Protective Equipment to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Certificate or degree in an information technology focused program, or equivalent experience.
  • Five or more years of experience in a similar support role is required. Equivalent combinations of training and related experience will be considered.
  • Excellent technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, professional demeanor and team player with a strong work ethic and can-do attitude.
  • High attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate power tools, components and peripheral accessories.
  • Excellent reading comprehension of technical manuals and procedural documentation.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with reliable transportation suitable for field service work.
  • Able to pass company-provided certification in operating industrial lift equipment for servicing large structures.
  • Must be able to successfully complete appropriate safety training and drug testing required to gain access to industrial facilities.
