What you'll do:

  • Develop and standardize repairs and procedures within assigned special process areas, which may include thermal spray (APS, LPPS), EBPVD, diffusion coatings (VPA, pack cementation), precious metal plating, specialty welding, machining, laser processes, EDM, heat treatment, braze, and chemical cleaning and stripping.
  • Ensure processes meet quality requirements and operational objectives, and monitor daily quality and productivity results.
  • Publish technical reports and develop work instructions and operator training materials.
  • Lead root cause and corrective action (RCCA) investigations on equipment and process issues.
  • Recommend and implement process and equipment improvements that enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Support new program launches and acceptance of new manufacturing processes.
  • Lead or participate in technical meetings and report regularly on project progress.
  • Mentor and train less experienced team members.

What you bring:

Required

  • Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Metallurgical, Materials, or Chemical Engineering
  • 0-2 years of experience in design, manufacturing, or repair engineering.
  • A self-starter mentality with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills in integrated, cross-functional team settings.

Preferred

  • Experience in the aerospace industry, particularly gas turbine manufacturing and repair.
  • Knowledge of FAA guidelines for PMA and RS-DER requirements and compliance testing.
  • Familiarity with NADCAP or similar industrial quality certifications.
  • Experience with high-temperature material systems.
  • Background in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, or design thinking methodologies.
