Position Summary

The Director of Performance Improvement (DPI) plans, coordinates, directs and carries out activities related to the facility-wide performance and quality improvement program and processes. Ensures that the facility is in compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC), CMS, AHCA, OSHA and other regulatory agencies standards. The DPI is responsible for staff training and education on the hospital's performance initiatives and measures including outcomes measurement and reporting.

Full-Time Salaried Exempt position working onsite at 1350 East 740 North, Orem, Utah. Salary will be based on level of education, license and years of relatable work experience.

Your role & responsibilities include:

  • Oversees the activities directly related to the identification, evaluation and analysis of the performance and quality improvement activities for the facility.
  • Documents and communicates key performance and quality improvement areas for the facility.
  • Analyzes, creates and maintains quality data systems.
  • Recommends ways to improve performance and clinical outcomes based on the data.
  • Gathers performance and quality improvement data from internal or external resources.

Qualifications

Your qualifications and experience will include:

  • Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screen.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university REQUIRED. Masters degree highly preferred.
  • Five (5) years clinical experience in a psychiatric inpatient facility with knowledge of Performance Improvement/Quality Management (PI/QM) required.
  • Cerner experience highly preferred.
  • A strong knowledge of The Joint Commission. CMS, AHCA, OSHA standards and any other applicable federal and start laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities.
  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to maintain effective working relationships, inter-departmentally, intra-departmentally, and with the medical staff.
