Responsibilities

Job Title: Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Therapist

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate IOP Therapist to join our growing clinical team to provide high-quality, evidenced-based care through group, individual, and family therapy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate structured IOP group therapy sessions (process, psychoeducation, skills-based)
  • Provide individual and family therapy as clinically indicated
  • Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries
  • Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment interventions as needed
  • Collaborate with internal team members and external referral sources to ensure continuity of care
  • Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and utilization reviews
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, ethical, and organizational standards
  • Support crisis intervention and risk assessment when necessary

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
  • Active and unrestricted licensure (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or equivalent) preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care)
  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working in an Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), or similar level of care
  • Background in mental health, substance use disorders, or co-occurring disorders
  • Experience facilitating group therapy
  • Familiarity with insurance requirements and medical necessity criteria
  • Experience using electronic health records (EHR) systems
