Joomla Backend Developer The Opportunity: We are looking for a highly skilled Backend Joomla Developer to lead the technical development and optimization of our web platforms. In this role, you will be the architect of our server-side logic, focusing heavily on the creation and customization of Joomla components, modules, and plugins. You will be responsible for managing complex MySQL databases and integrating third-party APIs such as payment gateways and CRMs to ensure our sites are both functional and scalable. Beyond initial builds, you will play a critical role in maintaining site health by performing core updates, implementing security patches, and troubleshooting technical bugs to ensure peak performance. In this role, you will utilize deep expertise in PHP and Object-Oriented Programming with a comprehensive understanding of the Joomla framework's internal architecture. While your primary focus will be the backend, you should be comfortable working with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript to ensure seamless integration with the frontend. We are seeking a proactive problem-solver who can translate complex business requirements into robust, high-performance digital solutions. In this role, you'll work closely with product managers and government leadership to understand mission goals and user requirements. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,200.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
