This position may be eligible for a telework schedule once onboarding into position is complete and with supervisor approval. |
| Primary Purpose of Position |
Provide regular support to the University Scholarship Office and departmental scholarship administrators to ensure effective scholarship development and administration for the university. |

Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

| Essential Job Duties |
- Serve as the primary contact for scholarship administrators and other departmental representatives seeking training, technical assistance, and resources that support scholarship administration.
- Understand and have the ability to clearly explain how scholarship donor agreements and funds are established, how to calculate scholarship fund balances, and what the functions are within the scholarship application, review and award cycles.
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge, experience, and the ability to quickly learn content management systems designed for scholarship and fund management.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with scholarship administrators and other departmental personnel responsible for managing scholarship funds, reviewing applications, and awarding scholarships.
- Provide initial and ongoing training and support to university personnel responsible for scholarship fund administration and use of the scholarship management system.
- Develop training content and resource materials for users, and lead implementation of the annual Scholarship Administration Training Session.
- Present to large and small audiences that attend general information and training sessions, or other public events related to scholarship administration.
- Develop and maintain scholarship management user guides that provide policy and system guidance for administrators, reviewers, and students.
- Respond to requests for information or support from college or departmental personnel in a timely manner. Prepare reports and other resources to satisfy the inquiry as needed.
- Track scholarship fund balances, offers, and award payments for departments outside the USO to ensure scholarship all funding available is being awarded in compliance with the terms of donor agreements.
- Raise awareness of the mission and resources provided by the University Scholarship Office, explain university processes and policies related to effective scholarship administration, troubleshoot scholarship system, program, and fund issues.

| Other Work Responsibilities |
- Make recommendations that will improve the scholarship management system, advance strategic use of scholarship funds, and increase overall departmental production.
- Maintain a current roster with contact information for all departmental scholarship administrators and reviewers.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of university systems and other technology platforms to include: Slate and related scholarship portals, Google Drive, Docs, Sheets; Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Banner Student and Banner Finance, and Report Central.
- Develop tools to annually collect and organize feedback from users of the scholarship management system to identify concerns that will inform system changes/enhancements.
- Provide guidance and support to student workers and/or federal work study students working in the USO.
- Compile, organize, and analyze multiple data and informational resources for ad-hoc reporting.

- Experience with scholarship administration in a four-year college or university setting, preferably a mid-size to large public or private university.
- Familiarity with various programs such as Banner and Slate; Advanced demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suites.
- Demonstrated analytical skills with a detail-oriented solution focus.
- Exceptional verbal and written skills with the ability to convey professional information clearly to stakeholders.
