Overview

The Mental Health Tech, under the supervision of the Team leader/Manager, and the Nurse Practitioner Unit Supervisor, provides group and individual behavioral interventions to patients a Behavioral Health setting. This role includes the following duties and actively supports the mission statement of Mercy Behavioral Health. May include day and evening hours.

Schedule: Variable/Flexible

Shift: Day Shift

Location: Mercyhealth Child and Adolescent Day Treatment Center - Janesville, Wisconsin

Pay Range: $18.28/hr - $24.74/hr

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Collects patient data and documents in the medical record.

* Assists therapist with group management and behavioral interventions.

* Provides patient treatments as ordered.

* Documents care provided in the medical record.

* Observes patients and reports behaviors or treatment concerns to the therapist, Nurse Practitioner or Team Lead/Manager.

* Maintains supplies, including scanning, stocking and ordering new supplies and disposing of expired or damaged supplies.

* Participates in department and unit performance improvement activities.

* Assists with cleaning and organizing the programming rooms.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's Degree in relevant Behavioral health field.

Or: minimum of 5 years of experience working with children.

Certification and Licensure

TACT within 90 days

CPR within 90 days

The Special Physical Demands are considered Essential Job Function of the position with or without accommodations.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or smell. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25-50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50-100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

PAY RANGE:

$18.28 - $30.07
