Position Description

The Compensation Analyst supports the administration, and ongoing evaluation of the organization's compensation programs to ensure internal equity, market competitiveness, and regulatory compliance. This role partners closely with HR, finance, and business leaders to analyze compensation data, support pay decisions, and maintain compensation structures. The analyst plays a key role in job evaluation, salary benchmarking, and compensation reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the administration and maintenance of compensation programs, including job creation, job evaluations, incentive plans, and salary structures.
  • Conduct market pricing and benchmarking using third-party compensation surveys to support competitive and equitable internal pay practices.
  • Analyze compensation data to identify trends, pay equity considerations, and compliance risks.
  • Assist with annual compensation planning processes, including set up, testing and audit of annual merit cycle and annual incentive programs.
  • Collaborate with HR and business leaders to support job evaluations, job architecture, job leveling, and title alignment.
  • Partner with Finance on accrual calculations, cost center allocations and other related activities for incentive programs.
  • Prepare compensation reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses for HR leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compensation practices comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including pay transparency and equal pay requirements.
  • Provide support on compensation related tasks, audits and projects as needed
Required Education & Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience supporting compensation programs in a corporate or consulting environment.
  • Hands-on experience conducting market pricing and benchmarking using compensation surveys.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret compensation data and identify trends or risks.
  • Experience supporting annual compensation planning cycles, such as merit or incentive programs.
  • Familiarity with job evaluation, job architecture, and leveling frameworks.
  • Ability to prepare clear and accurate compensation reports for stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of compensation-related compliance requirements and pay equity considerations.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Professional HR or compensation-related certifications (e.g. SHRM-CP, CCP) are beneficial
  • Strong profiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, data analysis tools, and reporting
  • Experience with the SuccessFactors Compensation and Variable Pay modules is highly desirable
