| Essential Job Duties |
Seeking an undergraduate student with a basic ecology background and experience coding in R to help analyze 16S sequencing data for wildlife gut microbiomes. You will review scripts from past students enrolled in
AEC 437/537, who addressed a series of different questions and hypotheses using the vegan and mctoolsr packages. You will consolidate, validate, and optimize the code to use consistent language, colors, and thresholds and produce figures for publication. The final products will be included in publication(s).
Responsibilities Include:
- Read, run, and revise code in RStudio
- Meet once every 1-2 weeks with Erin to review progress, provide support
- proofread and curate student-created content
- No grammatical or coding errors
- Update documentation as needed (e.g., to include statistical results)
In addition to payment, this work makes you eligible for co-authorship on the relevant forthcoming manuscript(s). |
