DESCRIPTION Street Maintenance Worker I Salary: $3,898 - $4,738 / monthly Street Maintenance Worker II Salary: $4,527 - $5,503 / monthly Join the City of Corona and help keep our streets safe, functional, and looking their best. Application Process Applications will be accepted through Wednesday, May 27, 2026, 12:00pm with a first review on May 13, 2026 . Candidates that successfully pass the screening process will be invited for an in-person oral interview tentatively scheduled for June 11, 2026. Select candidates may be invited to a second interview. Those who pass the oral interviews will be placed on an eligibility list that is good for up to 1 year unless exhausted sooner by the department. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a reference / background check including livescan and pass a pre-employment medical examination (which will include a drug/alcohol screening). Education and Experience Equivalent to completion of the twelfth (12th) grade. Street Maintenance Worker I: One year of experience in experience in public works construction or maintenance work, or a related field. Street Maintenance Worker II: Three (3) years of increasingly responsible skilled experience in public works related construction work, or two (2) years of experience equivalent to a Street Maintenance Worker I at the City of Corona. Licenses and Certifications Possession of a valid Class "C" California Driver's License, to be maintained throughout employment. Depending on area of assignment, possession of, or successful acquisition within 12 months of employment, a valid Class "A" or Class "B" California Driver's License, to be maintained throughout employment. Skills and Abilities Ability to operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools and equipment used in the type of work being performed. Ability to safely and skillfully operate motorized vehicles and equipment used in the course of work. Ability to perform heavy labor Ability to work extended hours and rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays. Characteristics An upbeat attitude, eager to participate. A passion for producing outstanding quality of work. A high performing, genuine, authentic individual with a good sense of humor. Ability to build and maintain the trust of coworkers, subordinates, and city staff. A genuine interest in supporting the employees. THE ORGANIZATION The City of Corona is a General Law city operating under a Council-Manager form of government.
