You'll lead a team of Learning & Performance Consultants, Designers, Developers and Enablement Managers and will work in an agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to rapidly design, test, and iterate on learning solutions that meet the evolving needs of our organization. What will you do?

  • Accountable leader for the end-to-end learning experience across our U.S. entities, including Capital Markets U.S., City National Bank, Wealth Management U.S., RBC Georgia Bank and Functions portfolios-partnering strategically with the global learning teams.
  • Drive the integration of learning for our U.S. entities and partner with senior Business and HRVP leaders to understand the Business Strategy and Talent alignment, identifying learning solutions and levers to enable the business strategy.
  • Architect strategic learning solutions that drive U.S. business outcomes leveraging modern learning modalities, curation/creation methods and technologies to streamline skill development
  • Partner strategically with our global learning teams and develop new programs to drive skills and fuel growth across our Combined United States Operations (CUSO).
  • Create awareness and drive adoption of current and emerging enterprise learning offerings available to support learning needs of the business.
  • Provide oversight for business segment planning and budget management of learning forecasts, engaging senior business and HR leader partners to validate roadmaps and project approval.
  • Enable a skills-based workforce to accelerate talent development and mobility.
  • Optimize vendor spend across the portfolio and identify ways to drive efficiencies.
  • Leading key agile lite squad(s) ceremonies to oversee development and execution of learning initiatives, share business priorities and perspectives and create a real time feedback loop between business and squad(s)
  • Lead Monthly Operating Reviews (MOR) with segment and HR leaders to deliver monthly insights to Business and HR leaders highlighting learning usage, popular course/skill topics, backlog item status and upcoming forecast, emerging skill trends for business areas based on market scan input from the skills platform
  • Create and lead a high-performing team of learning leaders, designers/developers, enablement managements and coordinators to execute and deliver value to the business.
  • Lead and operate a global resource model and establish a satisfactory control environment for the proper assignment of learning curriculum across multiple learning management systems and HRIS; proactively self-identifying emerging risks and risk issues related to learning.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • Strong learning strategy, design and development experience
  • Consultative skills with the ability to think strategically and translate broad, ambiguous problem statements into clearly articulated, action plans aligned to business strategy
  • Demonstrates flawless execution owning accountability for the holistic learning service from ideation to delivery project plan including inputs, dependences and timelines for deliverables
  • Experience supporting capital markets and/or wealth management
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at various levels.
  • Empowers team to own problem solving agenda, but also knows when to step in to drive things forward if needed
  • Capable and willing to 'go deep' to understand the end-to-end learning service for the business from strategy to delivery
  • Proven business and financial acumen (e.g., budget planning)
  • Tenacious prioritization skills to optimize business outcomes

Nice to Have

  • Prior consulting experience leading senior, multilevel teams
  • Fluency of existing learning offerings and solutions with a bring before build lens

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $160,000 - $250,000 depending on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
