Hiring Department

The University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Dentistry is seeking applications for an experienced administrative assistant for the departments of Dental Public Health and Behavioral Science, Oral and Craniofacial Sciences, and Advanced Dental Education Residencies.

Job Description

Successful candidates will enjoy working in a professional environment with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds, be self-directed, detail oriented, accurate, and have outstanding multitasking skills. Duties include, but are not limited to:

Department Support

  • Generate reports for department reviews, accreditation, and strategic planning
  • Assist with logistics for department seminars, retreats, visiting speakers and scholars, and student learning activities
  • Record meeting minutes
  • Process vacation, sick leave, and travel reimbursement requests
  • Coordinate equipment surpluses, chemical disposal, etc.
  • Provide grant and research support such as data entry
  • Other duties as assigned

Community Engagement Support

  • Oversee community engagement supply and equipment inventory
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using data collection instruments such as Survey Monkey, learning management systems such as Canvas, and electronic medical/dental records is highly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and advanced ability to organize and maintain electronic files.
  • Demonstrated advanced ability to utilize Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive, and OneNote.
Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $15.00 - $18.76 per hour

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
