Job Title: Associate Scientist

Location: 100% onsite Thousand Oaks, CA 91320

Duration: 12 Months (Possible extension)

Hours: Standard business hours, approximately 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Lead Discovery & Targeted Protein Degradation, BioAssay is seeking a Contract/Temp worker to develop and execute biochemical and cell-based assays for pipeline projects at the ATO site. In addition, this Contract/Temp staff will also help with an increasing demand for routine cell culture to support the expansion, aliquoting, cryobanking, QC of cell lines, and general lab support activities such as ordering/stocking reagents and consumables.

  • Mammalian cell culture experience

Daily activity will vary day-to-day but in scope activities include:



  1. Develop biochemical, cell-based assays under supervision.
  2. Routine execution of MedChem Work Bench (MCWB) biochemical and cell-based assays such as protein binding and displacement, protein degradation, reporter assays, cell viability assays, cytokine secretion assays, etc.
  3. Analyze data in Genedata Screener and report the data to the Assay Data Warehouse
  4. Document the experiments in Electronic Notebook.
  5. Update project teams with assay results.
  6. Order, prepare, and/or maintain reagents and consumables needed to perform MCWB assays.
  7. Maintain cell lines to support genome editing, assay development and assay deliveries.


An ideal candidate should be a highly motivated quick learner with strong backgrounds in molecular & cellular biology and biochemistry. We prefer candidates who can follow protocols with attention to detail, handle repetitive work and deliver high quality data on time.

MS or Bachelor in life science.

Interview Process:

  • Initial screen in person at the Thousand Oak Headquarter.
  • If selected, the formal interview will be meeting the team in person, 5-7 team members and total 3-4hrs.
