From managing lifeguard teams to overseeing pool operations and safety compliance, you'll play a vital role in ensuring every swimmer, member, and guest has a positive and secure experience. What You'll Lead
Lifeguard Leadership
- Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and supervise a high-performing lifeguard team
- Ensure consistent and vigilant coverage on the pool deck at all times
Operations & Scheduling
- Oversee pool schedules and layouts to maximize usage and efficiency
- Collaborate with Swim Lessons, Membership, and Competitive Swim teams to meet program needs
- Manage payroll accuracy and staff scheduling
Safety, Training & Compliance
- Lead lifeguard certification courses, CPR/AED, and First Aid trainings
- Conduct monthly in-service trainings and skill evaluations
- Ensure all certifications are current and compliant
- Oversee DPH licensing requirements, pool permits, and CPO logs
Communication & Coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact for aquatics operations and updates
- Communicate schedule changes and facility updates clearly to staff and members
- Coordinate pool rentals and maintain relationships with local school districts
Administrative Leadership
- Manage administrative functions for both Marblehead Aquatics and Competitive Aquatics programs
- Ensure smooth, organized, and efficient day-to-day operations
What You Bring
- Proven leadership experience in aquatics, lifeguarding, or facility operations
- Strong knowledge of water safety, risk management, and compliance standards
- Certification to teach lifeguarding, CPR/AED, and First Aid (or ability to obtain)
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
- Confident communicator who can collaborate across teams and departments
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Passion for safety, team development, and community impact

- Current Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid certifications.
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably within an aquatics or pool setting.
- Knowledge of DPH licensing standards and pool safety regulations.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team while maintaining high standards for safety and service.
