| Summary |
Howard Community College is seeking a parttime Mental Health Technician Instructor to teach and support students preparing for entrylevel roles in behavioral health settings. The instructor will deliver classroom and skillsbased instruction, assess student learning, and help maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment.

| Essential Role Responsibilities |
- Teach classroom and handson components of the Mental Health Technician program.
- Develop and deliver curriculum aligned with program standards.
- Use Canvas to manage course materials, assignments, and grading.
- Evaluate student performance through exams, skills assessments, and participation.
- Maintain accurate attendance and academic records.
- Support student success and collaborate with faculty and staff.
- Participate in professional development to stay current in behavioral health practices.

| Minimum Education Required |
|
| Experience Required |
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Human Services, Nursing, or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in behavioral health, psychiatric care, or human services.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Experience working with diverse populations and supporting adult learners.

| Minimum and Preferred Qualifications |
- Master's degree in a behavioral health or human services discipline.
- Professional licensure or certification (e.g., LCPC, LCSWC, RN with psychiatric experience).
- Teaching or training experience in adult education.
- Familiarity with Canvas or other online learning platforms.
