High School Assistantin GAC Savannah

Unique Skills:

Must be enrolled in a High School Work Based Learning Program and remain eligible during employment as a High School Assistant.

Must be able to work 15-20hrs a week during the School Year and Summer Months. The HSA can work up to 40hrs a week max during non-school sessions.

Uniforms-If required will be provided

Career Path-Business, Engineer, IT

List of duties:

1) Assess IT and/or engineering documents/drawings

2) Execute IT and/or engineering requests following mentor instructions.

Work is performed in an office environment mostly in a sitting position with frequent lifting of 10-15 pounds. This job will require the apprentice to be in front of a computer screen reviewing data for a large percentage of the workday. Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Uniform not required.

Education and Experience Requirements
Must be enrolled as a Junior or Senior in local public high school and referred by participating school program administrator. Must be at least 16 years of age at the start of the program. Position Purpose: Must be able to work 15-20 hours per week (this number can go up to 40 hours per week during the summer break).
