A Day in the Life of a Ward Secretary-Hospital

As a Ward Secretary, your role is critical in streamlining the operations at the nurses' station through adept handling of all clerical duties. You'll be responsible for maintaining comprehensive and organized medical records, ensuring they are current and easily accessible. Effective communication is crucial, as you will frequently interact with staff, patients, and visitors to facilitate smooth operations and maintain a professional image of the facility. Your day-to-day tasks will include clerical support of nursing and physician staff within the hospital, managing calls, and prioritizing a variety of tasks effectively. Additionally, your ability to adapt to emergencies and handle confidential information discreetly underscores the importance of your position in maintaining hospital standards.



About the Med/Surg Department:

In the Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) Department at CRMC, we provide expert, compassionate care for a diverse range of patients. As the largest department in the hospital, our nurses and clinical staff are highly skilled in managing complex medical conditions, surgical recovery, pain management, and patient education, ensuring that every individual receives personalized, high-quality care throughout their hospital stay. Our team balances clinical expertise with adaptability, caring for a variety of medical needs while maintaining a strong focus on patient safety, comfort, and recovery. Qualifications
Education and Experience
Required

  • Successful completion of the general clerical standard administered by Cuyuna Regional Medical Center Human Resources Staff


Preferred

  • Vocational education or 2 years of college

The pay range is listed above. Actual pay rate offered is determined based on experience in this role. Please be sure to include all applicable experience in your application.
