Position Summary The Manageris responsibleforexecuting allline maintenance scheduling activities.The Manager has the responsibilities for oversight ofthe forecasting,the planning, andthe implementationof scheduled maintenance events (including special attention focused on cabin appearance) for the Technical Operations Department.The Manager must ensure theoptimumperformance of the Maintenance Planners in their duties tomaintainfleet safety and reliability.They must alsoconsideringtheoptimaleconomic cost benefit to JetBlue, as well as ensuring their internal/external customer satisfaction.FAA regulatory compliance is essential, ensuring no overfly activities of any maintenance tasks.Other considerations include coordination between Technical Operations, System Operations, Marketing, and other customers. Essential Responsibilities Responsible for ensuring all required maintenance itemsthatare scheduled and issued within time limitintervalsspecifiedby the Continued Airworthy Maintenance Program (CAMP) and approved by theFAA Supervises the Planners in preparing all scheduled line maintenance tasks suchas,Service checks, Weekly, Segment checks, MDDRs (MELs, CDLs, TSIs, GMM items) and all near term (120 day) forecast of items coming due Supervises team and work with other Planners and Scheduler to route, re-route and swapaircrafttoaccomplishteam goalsof meeting the maintenance constraints (manpower, ground time, etc.) Monitors the "Maintenance and Engineering" (M&E) system for correct accomplishments ofinitial,finaland repetitive tasks, including all Airworthiness Directive's and Engineering Orders/Authorizations Coordinates with Planners, Materials, Maintenance and Maintenance Control on allmanpower, parts, and toolingrequired Coordinatesandcommunicatescritical issues with respective internal/external customers Prioritizes, schedules, and incorporatescabin condition tasks into daily workload (cabins cleans, seat inspections and deferrals) Tracksand reportscompliance and condition of cabin tasks Prioritizesand releases daily workload.Adjustsandcommunicatesfor schedule changes, deferred work,andsystems interruptions (Irregular Operations (IROPS)). Monitors andsetssufficient ground time with Operations foraircraftmaintenance. Executes business strategy toaccomplishTech Ops goals,objectivesand key metrics Initiates process measurements and improvements,includeprocess mapping to improve efficiency and flexibility of organizations Reviews,recommendsand implements technology and processes improvements Directsandassistswith the accountability of all issued work packages (i.e.research and resolve paperwork discrepancies) Drives results, setting the technical and safety standards while providing strong leadership and technical support to a group of experienced maintenance professionals Take a significant role in the development ofcrewmembersto support the engagement, growth, goal achievement Assistsin defining the standards to which JetBlue'smaintainstheir fleet Other duties as assigned MinimumExperience and Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field; ORdemonstratedcapability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years ofpreviousrelevant work experience Five (5)yearsairline Maintenance, Planning or Material experience Three (3) years management experience Working Knowledge of Part 121 Federal Aviation Regulations Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), Airworthy Directives (AD)and Service Bulletins (SB) Must be able toacquireandmaintaina valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge Depending on location, may need toacquireandmaintaina United States Customs Clearance Available foroccasionalovernighttravel(up to 10%) Valid travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of theUnitedStates Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Working knowledge of Data Management Systems Results oriented with the ability to balance diverse and dynamic operational requirements Excellent verbal and written communication skills Exceptional negotiating and interpersonal skills Excellent analytical skills Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Flexibility, agility andchangemanagement skills Ability to work under pressure, multitask and make critical decisions in afast paceenvironment Ability to train and motivate a team Must pass a pre-employment drug test Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located Preferred Experience and Qualifications Master'sDegreeor advanced degreein Aviation, Business Processes or Technical-related field Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate Proficient in TRAX and Sabre/FliteTracPlot Lean/Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement training Crewmember Expectations: Regular attendance and punctuality Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond onshort-notice Able tomaintaina professional appearance When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if timepermits, all capablecrewmembersare asked toassistwith light cleaning of theaircraft Must bean appropriate organizationalfit for the JetBlue culture, that is,exhibitthe JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity,PassionandFun Must fulfill safety accountabilitiesas prescribed byJetBlue's Safety Management System Promote JetBlue's #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue's Safety Management System (SMS) components, SafetyPolicyand behavioral standards Identifysafetyand securityconcerns, issues,incidentsor hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety ActionReport(SAR)) Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies,proceduresand risk controls Uphold JetBlue's safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position. (Sedentary) Compensation The base pay range for this position is between $90,000.00 and $150,000.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue's total compensation package, which may also include performance bonuses, restricted stock units, as well as access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
