Overview

What You Will Do

As a Project Coordinator you will create, maintain, and monitor detailed project timelines, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within scope. You will work closely with project managers to develop schedules, identify potential risks or delays, and allocate resources efficiently using tools like MS Project or Primavera P6. This role is vital for tracking progress, analyzing critical paths, and reporting updates to stakeholders in industries like construction, engineering, and manufacturing.

A Typical Day at Prime Controls

    Schedule Development: Create detailed, resource-loaded project schedules and work breakdown structures (WBS).
  • Progress Tracking: Monitor, update, and analyze project progress against the baseline to identify variances.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential delays, bottlenecks, or conflicts, and proactively propose mitigation strategies.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular scheduling reports, dashboards, and forecasts to stakeholders.
  • Change Management: Revise schedules to reflect approved changes and update project forecasts.

What You Will Bring

The Basic

  • Seeking someone with a background within construction management/project management
  • Experience using scheduling softwares (Microsoft Project, P6)
  • 2 years of related experience with multi-tasking and admin organization
  • Understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Critical Path Method - CPM).
  • Ability to analyze complex data to identify trends and risks.
  • Experience with proofreading/editing
  • Advanced MS Office skills, especially Word and Excel
  • Must be detail-oriented and organized
  • Strong verbal and written skills to report to various project stakeholders.
  • Team-oriented, demonstrates leadership skills, willing to collaboratively internally and with project team



The Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, often with 2+ years of experience.
  • PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) certification or similar certifications.
