Pay From: $130 per hour


MUST:

Experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

Master's degree in Nursing

Graduate from an academic program approved by the Council on Accreditation of

Nurse Anesthesia Programs (COA)

Certification maintenance requirements: BLS, ACLS, PALS

The CRNA must have two years of experience within the last three years prior to

contract execution (outside of training)

Must be able to close encounters within seventy-two (72) hours of the patient

encounter

Must have experience in the delivery and monitoring of all types of anesthesia

utilized in obstetrical, epidural labor, and surgical anesthesia, including:

General endotracheal anesthesia

Subarachnoid (spinal) block

Epidural anesthesia

IV regional techniques

Must have current experience (3 months or more within the past 12 months) in all

anesthesia techniques

Must be certified as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist through: American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA), and/or

National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)

Must meet Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements

DUTIES:

Contract CRNAs shall perform the same clinical duties as military or Government civil service nurses of similar experience assigned

Majority of duties will be performed in the main Operating Room (OR)

Limited to minimal obstetrical anesthesia duties, including but not limited to epidural anesthesia for: Elective procedures, Non-elective procedures, Emergency obstetric procedures

CRNAs shall perform within the scope of clinical privileges granted by the MTF and

overall demand for services

Must meet Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements

Maintain OSHA-required training

Must have experience in obstetrical and surgical anesthesia, including:

General endotracheal anesthesia

Subarachnoid (spinal) block

Epidural anesthesia

IV regional techniques

Manage patient anesthesia care experience

Perform preoperative evaluations and preparations

Monitored anesthesia care

Regional anesthesia

General anesthesia

Monitor and manage patient responses to anesthesia and surgery

Manage fluid therapy

Perform invasive monitoring

Perform pre-anesthetic assessments and evaluations

Obtain informed consent

Request consultations and/or diagnostic studies

Order pre-anesthetic medications

Administer: Spinal anesthesia, Epidural anesthesia, Bier block, Axillary block, Other regional anesthesia, General anesthesia

Record all pertinent events during: Induction, Maintenance, Emergence from anesthesia

Document: Dosage and duration of anesthetic agents, Other drugs, IV fluids, Blood or blood components
