TSC is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk in Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process shipments: Pack, label, and document outgoing orders; verify shipment contents against invoices or orders; set up transportation accordingly to the shipment request.
  • Receive and inspect incoming goods: Check for damages, discrepancies, and shortages; record and report issues; route items to appropriate departments.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of stock, update digital and physical inventories, and organize stockroom for easy retrieval.
  • Logistics Coordination: Communicate with internal teams, and carriers, if need be, to ensure timely delivery.
  • Equipment Operation: Use forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely to move shipments if required.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accuracy, track shipments, and report discrepancies or delays to management.
  • Safety and compliance: Follow company procedures, safety policies, and quality standards; maintain a clean and organized work area.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 1+ years of experience in a similar role involving warehouse operations, shipping, and receiving tasks.
  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in using inventory management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Precision in counting, verifying orders, and checking for accuracy in shipments.
  • Experience using Costpoint
  • Ability to maintain clear records and ensure proper documentation
  • Efficiency in processing orders and organizing tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members, vendors, and clients.
