ABOUT THE ROLE

The CNC Machine Programmer is responsible for using Revit, AutoCAD, and CIM-Tech software to develop, prepare, and convert files for CNC cutting operations. This role ensures accurate digital models and production-ready files are created to support efficient manufacturing processes. In addition, the CAD Technician I assists with project logistics and production tickets as needed to help maintain workflow and meet project deadlines.

Salary range ($25.00-$37.00 per hour). Based on location and experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO



  • Use Revit, AutoCAD, and CIM-Tech to create and prepare CNC cutting files for plywood, plastic, foam, and other production materials
  • Select and program appropriate cutting tools and machining parameters for efficient and accurate CNC operations
  • Develop and revise drawings as needed to ensure accuracy and alignment with production requirements
  • Troubleshoot CNC programming and file issues during the manufacturing process to minimize downtime and errors
  • Communicate with CNC operators and internal departments to verify files, resolve issues, and prevent project delays
  • Collaborate with the BIM team to support upstream modeling, coordination, and drawing development processes
  • Create pour sheets, electrical pour tickets, and other production documentation to support fabrication
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and calculate material requirements for project execution
  • Order materials such as wood, insulation, plastic, and other supplies based on project needs
  • Support ERP data entry (Concrete Vision) and complete special projects and additional duties as assigned


WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy CAD/CNC professional who can translate complex designs into accurate, production-ready files using Revit, AutoCAD, and CIM-Tech. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong spatial awareness, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This individual is collaborative, self-motivated, and committed to continuous improvement, accuracy, and meeting project deadlines.

IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE



  • High School Diploma or GED required; 2-4 year drafting degree preferred
  • Completion of 2 weeks on-site training at Wells Concrete
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, CIM-Tech, Microsoft Office, and related software
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and construction documents
  • Solid math skills with a basic understanding of general construction practices


WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS



  • Occasional visits to active plant and field locations are required based on operational needs.
  • Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required while in the plant and field.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and navigate active plant and field environments as needed.
  • Must be able to climb stairs, walk on uneven surfaces, and safely move through industrial work areas.
  • May be exposed to moving equipment, machinery, and other standard industrial hazards.
  • May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, rain, as well as noise, dust, and vibration.
