Job Summary

The USPF Full-Stack Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying high quality solutions that support core premium finance operations. This role operates within an Agile framework and collaborates closely with cross functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant technology that enables quoting, loan origination, payment processing, underwriting workflows, and integrations with retail insurance agents, MGA's, carriers, and third-party partners. Performs other projects and duties as assigned.

Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works in the full SDLC lifecycle to create software that supports premium finance processes including quoting engines, client portals, payment systems, and servicing workflows.
  • Participates in Scrum activities including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborates with product owners, business analysts, QA engineers, and operational stakeholders to refine requirements and ensure accurate, compliant, and auditable system behavior.
  • Produces clean, maintainable, and well-documented code across backend, frontend, or full-stack components as assigned.
  • Conducts code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves software defects, performance issues, and production incidents.
  • Ensures all development activities comply with relevant financial, regulatory, and security requirements.
  • Provides occasional after-hours support for production releases or critical incidents.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

  • Advanced abilities in C# and .NET.
  • Advanced abilities in Angular or React along with some experience in Angular.
  • Proficiency with SQL Server, including writing effective queries, creating and modifying tables, and working comfortably in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
  • Proficiency working with APIs, including designing, consuming, and troubleshooting RESTful services.
  • Experience working within Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast paced environment and with all levels of management/staff throughout the organization.
  • Able to work independently while managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Understanding of security best practices and regulatory considerations applicable to software applications and processes.
  • Familiarity of loan systems, payment processing, or financial integrations. (ACH/payment processing, carrier APIs, for example).

Industry and Work Experience

  • 8+ years of professional experience with C#/.NET required.
  • 3+ years of Angular experience, or 3+ years of React experience with at least 1 year of handson Angular required.
  • Experience with Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) preferred.
  • Experience in financial services or insurance preferred, with a strong preference for premium finance.
  • Experience with FinancePro, Vertafore products, Boomi or Uipath a plus.

Academic

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or relevant field required.
