At First American, we're proud of the relationships we've built in the Yakima market and we're looking for the right Escrow Officer to carry that forward. We are hiring an Escrow Officer in Yakima, WA to take over a well-established, high-volume desk from a respected senior Escrow Officer who is retiring. This is a rare opportunity to step into an existing book of business while continuing to grow and evolve it. We're looking for someone who can earn trust quickly, operate with ownership, and deliver consistent, high-quality closings in a fast-paced environment. What You'll Do You will take ownership of an active pipeline and established relationships-serving as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for your clients. Manage escrow transactions end-to-end, from opening through closing and disbursement Maintain and strengthen relationships with agents, lenders, and repeat clients Serve as the central coordinator across all parties to ensure smooth, on-time closings Review contracts, title reports, and instructions to determine closing requirements Identify and resolve issues quickly to keep transactions moving Prepare and execute closing documents with accuracy and efficiency Lead closing appointments and guide clients confidently through the process Balance multiple transactions, deadlines, and priorities at once Leverage systems and tools to stay organized and operate efficiently Continue to grow the desk through service, responsiveness, and reputation What You Bring Experience & Credentials 3-5+ years of escrow experience with direct responsibility for transactions Proven ability to manage a high-volume pipeline Valid licensing/certification as required in Washington Core Capabilities Strong client relationship skills-you build trust quickly and maintain it Excellent communication-you are responsive, clear, and proactive High attention to detail with the ability to move at speed Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities Sound judgment and problem-solving in complex or time-sensitive situations Comfort with technology and systems that support efficient closings What Sets You Apart You take ownership-clients and partners rely on you to get deals closed You don't let calls or issues sit-you respond and take action You can step into existing relationships and build credibility quickly You balance high-touch service with strong execution You are comfortable handling volume without sacrificing quality Why This Role Is Unique Established, active book of business-no need to start from scratch Strong relationships already in place in the Yakima market Opportunity to put your own stamp on a high-performing desk Support from a trusted brand with strong operational and underwriting partners The Future of This Role The escrow officer of the future wins on trust, relationships, and accuracy- but stands out through speed, judgment, and smart use of technology.
