DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this Medium Voltage Electrician role, you will focus on repairing electrical systems that support Fish and Boat Commission facilities. Work relies on your skill in the care and use of the tools, equipment, and testing devices as well as your knowledge of standards, occupational hazards, and safety precautions of the electrical trade. Your duties in this position will include:
- Power System Work: Operate and maintain electrical power distribution systems and related equipment
- Equipment Installation: Install and service transformers, switchgears, motors, generators, and other electrical machinery
- Troubleshooting: Identify electrical issues and repair or replace circuits, controls, and underground cables
- Technical Reading: Work from diagrams, schematics, written instructions, and electrical codebooks
- Collaboration and Training: Operate a high ranger bucket truck, assist with tasks that support other trades, and provide guidance and training to journeymen and other staff members on specific skills and tasks

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. A four day per week Alternative Work Schedule will be considered.
- This position requires frequent overnight travel.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Five years of journey-level experience in the electrical trade; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Condition of Employment:
- This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
