$3,637.87 to $4,001.66 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. South Area/Melbourne/Travels Countywide. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Performs skilled professional engineering work coordinating, planning, designing, reviewing, inspecting and/or implementing assigned projects. May supervise subordinate staff.



REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or a closely related fieldPLUSfive (5) years of experience in transportation engineering, which includes two (2) years of post-registration experience;ORBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or a closely related fieldPLUSfour (4) years of experience as a Brevard County Engineer I in traffic operations, planning and development, or a closely related field, which includes one (1) year of post-registration experience. Supervisory experience is preferred.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. Supervisory experience is preferred. Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Florida, following requirements set forth in Florida Statute 471, is preferred. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
