Lead Software Engineer - Onsite

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Lead Software Engineer for an on-site position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is an 18+ month contract opportunity.

This role is part of an Enterprise Function Technology team focused on building and evolving an enterprise AI platform. The successful candidate will help drive AI adoption across the organization by developing reusable AI capabilities, building tailored solutions, and accelerating the delivery of AI-enabled features for various business lines. Key technical areas include agentic architectures, LangGraph, and multi-agent orchestration patterns.

Responsibilities:

• Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
• Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
• Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives
• Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions
• Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues
• Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor

Requirements:

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, with a strong focus on Java/Spring development
• 4+ years of experience with React
• 4+ years of experience in Python
• 4+ years of experience in Angular
• 1+ year of hands-on experience with LangGraph
• 1+ year with multi-agent orchestration systems

Desired skills:

• 2+ years of experience with Kafka, S3, Dremio, Vault, or EPLX
• 2+ years of experience with Pyspark
• 2+ years of experience working in an Agile environment
• 2+ years of experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• 2+ years of experience developing or deploying AI powered tools, chatbots, LLM based automation, or agentic workflows
• 2+ years of experience in the Financial Industry
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure
• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problems

Pay range: $59.53 - $67.53 per hour
