Staff Geologist

Group Delta, an NV5 Company, has an exciting opportunity for an Entry-Level Geologist to join our Environmental Site Assessment and Remediation team in our Irvine, California office. In this role, you will apply your geologic knowledge and analytical skills to help support the assessment and remediation of project sites with contaminated soil, soil vapor, and/or groundwater across Southern California. We are seeking an ambitious, motivated early-career geologist who is eager to develop expertise across several environmental disciplines, as well as being cross-trained on geotechnical projects, including the installation and monitoring of geotechnical instrumentation. You will work with our experienced, senior-level team, both in the office and in the field.

• BS Geology / Geological Sciences (GIT preferred)
• 0-2 years of professional experience in the field
• OSHA 40-Hour Hazpower preferred
• Previous experience in soil logging (preferred)
• Prior experience in sampling impacted soil and groundwater (preferred)
• Strong interest in environmental assessment and remediation
• Regular field work and some overnight travel required
• Strong organization, communication, and written skills

The pay range for this position in California is $35.10 to $37.50 per hour. Base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
