| Posting Summary |
Rutgers University- Newark (RU-N), an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise, is seeking a Senior Program Administrator. Reporting to the Director of the
RBS office of
SEER, the Employee Relations Manager is an integral part of the development and maintenance of employer relations for the
RBS Office of Career Management.
This position is responsible for and not limited to the following:
- Leads and supports employer initiatives and services to meet the recruitment needs of RBS students, including handling employer inquiries and providing strategy support to the Senior Director concerning employer development and relations.
- Entails strategic and aggressive prospecting of new job leads to increase the pool of employers participating in recruitment programs.
- Works to strengthen relationships with current employers, expand to additional areas within those employers, increase employer engagement with RBS students and diversify the base of employers.
- Organizing, planning, and executing the RBS wide career fairs and other employer recruiting activities as requested.
- Aid with employer-delivered and sponsored workshops, information sessions, corporate presentations and boutique events designed to assist employer branding efforts and encourage greater collaboration opportunities.
- This position is part of the RBS employer relations team working closely with the employer relations manager for graduate programs and the Newark campus.
- This position will work with the Employer development teams of Rutgers New Brunswick Career Exploration and Success and Rutgers Newark Center for Career Development to collaborate on employer relations.
- This position will work closely with the RBS Career Management teams to organize and deliver on campus activities, career fairs and recruiting opportunities.
- Additionally, this position will manage the RBS OCM marketing communication to employers as well as RBS students.
- Travel to employer sites, regional and national conferences and intra-campus is required.
- Occasional evenings and weekends required.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of corporate relationship experience, preferably in a university and/or customer service environment that includes recruitment and maintaining relations with partners.

- Ideal candidate will have strong communication, presentation and networking skills.
- Must be a hands on individual who will collaborate with other teams and driven by innovation and results.
- This person should have an in-depth understanding about employer relationship management and the needs of recruiters.
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work effectively in teams, problem-solve, and manage projects.
- The successful candidate should also have experience managing employees.
- Must be comfortable with computer systems with specific knowledge of marketing technologies such as Canva and Adobe. Strong Microsoft Office-Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills required.
