Summary:
The Human Resources Absence Specialist role supports care team members and leaders across the system related to absence, disability and accommodations including associated workflows and documentation. Liaisons with external leave, absence and disability vendors. Advises and educates leadership, care team members and HR colleagues on all Absence programs within MaineHealth.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field required.
  2. License/Certifications: N/A
  3. Experience: Three years of Human Resources experience in Human Resources or Leave of Absence required.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Knowledge of State and Federal regulations in the areas of ADA, Leaves of Absence, Workers Compensation, STD and LTD programs.
