*Description*
A large health system in Philadelphia is looking for project management assistance to support their effort to migrate 850+ application servers out of existing on-prem data centers into the Azure cloud by Q1 2027. They are looking to bring onboard 3 project managers to work their our team. The candidates should have: *Experience in managing medium to large scale IT projects including cloud migrations, and data center relocations. Familiarity with rehosting applications *Experience in cutover and post migration support. *Experience with dependency and risk management. Ability to identify and track complex cross-team dependencies, such as shared databases. *Stakeholder management and communication. Skill in translating technical cloud milestones to business leaders, skills in aligning diverse teams, *Strong governance skills: RAID management, Change Control, vendor management *Vendor and 3rd party management. Proficiency in managing relationships with migration partners Additional Notes: - Project Overview: Overarching effort to migrate a large mass of applications out of 6 data centers (some of the DC's will be decommissioned but not in scope for now) 3 work streams * Infrastructure workstream (think things like building out Azure landing zones) * Azure virtual desktop workstream * App Migration workstream This is the core focus right now Around 850-1500 applications in total that will be rehosted (Lift and Shift) Some refactoring or replatforming team but those would be handled by App teams Mix of Academic, clinical imaging, corporate apps, revenue cycle etc. - anything you can imagine across their organization Broken down into 9 different workstreams Program ending end of February 2027 and MUST end by then They will be running this in a Waterfall methodology. They are running this project with in a "2 in the box" style with one Accenture PM aligned with one Client (contractor) PM * Managing work stream together * Client PM - everything within Client organization's infra, architecture cloud work, planning applications waves, working with application owners etc. Accenture PM - details regarding the lift and shift and technical components - Qualifications Must be able to drive projects forward - must be able to progress, escalate, prioritize, organize the work, use the tools at your disposal and ultimately drive and affect human behavioral change Understanding how healthcare works is a nice to have - but things like a deep understanding of infrastructure/cloud principles, as well as PM skills are much more important Certifications - PMP is a nice to have but not an absolute must. No ITIL, no agile/scrum needed Tools - they are using ServiceNow from a project management perspective. Microsoft Planner is being used as well (or MS Project) - Logistics Duration: Minimum 6 months, ideally through March 2027 Timeline: * Start Date: ASAP * Interview Timeline and Process: ASAP Likely 2 total rounds of interview (in rare instances a 3rd round if they are on the fence) Onsite vs. Remote Expectation: * Must be able to come onsite one day/month - That said, they want this resource to be local (within a couple hour drive) to be able to easily come onsite if a situation necessitates it *Skills* Project management, Cloud, Azure, Migration, Program management, Stakeholder management, Security, pmp, ms project, servicenow, waterfall *Top Skills Details* Project management,Cloud,Azure,Migration,Program management,Stakeholder management,Security *Additional Skills & Qualifications* Communication skills and ability to hit the ground running *Experience Level* Expert Level *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of Philadelphia, PA. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $100.00/hr.
