Overview

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Project Specialist, supporting TOS II, at Tunnel 9 in White Oak, Maryland. The Project Specialist will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for operating, maintaining, and improving the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing program and project management leadership for a portfolio of large,complex, multidisciplinary projects, including external customer and capital improvement initiatives. These initiatives may include large-scale maintenance, testing, or multiple interfacing projects.

Job Duties:

    Serve as a hypersonic subject matter expert, providing technical guidance, mentorship, hands-on support and training to the test engineering team.
  • Support all aspects of internal and external projects, including planning, execution, analysis, and reporting.
  • Manage a variety of internal and external technical projects, overseeing project scope, schedules, resource utilization, and budget to ensure successful delivery.
  • Oversee the development of comprehensive Project Plans, incorporating risk management, resource allocation, and performance objectives.
  • Provide regular project status updates to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure all projects and test activities comply with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including systems engineers, electrical engineers, aerospace engineers, and operations personnel, to ensure successful project and test outcomes.
  • Assist other project managers, principles, or officers in the management of large, multidiscipline projects.
  • It is a condition of employment to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or relevant technical field from an accredited university and ten (10) to twenty (20) years progressive and relevant experience in an engineering or related technical field.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and the AEDC local area network.
  • Current U. S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Secret clearance
  • Knowledge of construction, engineering, procurement, and other project-related activities, including their interfaces and interdependencies.
  • Experience working with project resource scheduling software such as MS-Project or Primavera.
  • Ability to plan, organize, lead and monitor a wide variety of team efforts to their successful conclusion.
  • Ability to anticipate change and to adjust promptly and effectively
