Regular Employee | Hourly Non-Exempt | $19.40 - 23.25

What you'll do:

SCOPE OF THE POSITION:
Tends fabricating machines such as cutoff saws, shears, rolls, brakes, presses, forming machines, spinning machines, and punch, that cut, shape, and bend metal plates, sheets, tubes, and structures by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
* Read job specifications and blueprints to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
* Set stops and guides to specified length as indicated.
* Position work pieces against stops or align layout marks with die or blade.
* Push buttons or depress pedals to activate machines.
* Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects and machine malfunction.
* Measure work piece dimensions with necessary tools.
* Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust and scale from work pieces.
* Perform minor machine maintenance.
* Trouble shoot machine operations.

What you need to be successful:

• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs without assistance.
• Structured training or relevant work experience.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to reason and problem solves as it pertains to position.
• Ability to learn and navigate manufacturing software.
