Join a team that supports real semiconductor development work in a fast-paced foundry environment. In this role, you will help execute engineering experiments, troubleshoot material issues, and support technology development programs that directly impact customer and internal R&D success.


What you'll do as a Development Engineering Senior Technician:

Support development work in real time
Communicate with Development Engineers during days and weekends when ATS material requires attention, helping keep experiments and development activities on schedule.


Troubleshoot and resolve issues
Assist with the evaluation and disposition of non-conforming material in partnership with engineering teams to maintain development flow and minimize delays.


Execute engineering experiments
Run standard and advanced experiments through the ATS Technician Request system. Your work will directly support technology validation, process learning, and customer development programs.


Build broad fab expertise
Develop proficiency across more than 100 semiconductor toolsets and gain cross-functional exposure to major process areas including Photolithography, Etch, Thin Films, CMP, Implant/RTA, and more.


Create and improve technical documentation
Draft and refine work instructions, process flows, and metrology recipes to improve repeatability, execution quality, and overall experimental success.


Drive continuous improvement
Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance process quality in collaboration with operations and engineering teams.


Grow your independence
Take on increasing responsibility and perform tasks with greater autonomy as your technical knowledge and confidence develop.


Support team objectives
Perform other duties as needed to support ATS engineering and development priorities.


Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of technician experience in a semiconductor fab or similar cleanroom/manufacturing environment
    OR
  • 4 year college degree or higher.
  • Basic understanding of semiconductor processing in at least one of the following areas:

    • Photolithography
    • Etch
    • Thin Films
    • CMP
    • Implant/RTA


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Shift: D Shift: Thursday through Saturday and every other Wednesday, 6:00 PM- 6:15 AM- 25% shift differential
  • U.S. Citizen Required: This position will require the holding of or ability to obtain government security clearance which requires U.S Citizenship


Preferred Qualifications

  • BS/BA in a STEM field (Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, etc.)
  • Experience writing or updating engineering specifications, RSC documents, or work instructions
  • Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or basic data analysis

The hourly range for this role is $27.89 - $41.83 per hour. (This role also offers a shift differential of 25% for the night shift). Pay offered is based on many factors including, but not limited to, the job-related experience, skills, education, and credentials of each candidate.
