Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Ergonomist with industrial and applied ergonomics experience to supporta handful of our key Apex clients. This is aparttime, traveling role-with expense covered -ideal for an experienced professional who excels in practical, field-based ergonomics and enjoys working directly with operations, safety, engineering, facilities, labor,leadershipand other stakeholders.

The Senior Ergonomist willperformergonomicsassessments,collaboratively developsolutionsandprojectmanagesolutionimplementationin industrial manufacturing and warehouse settingstoreduce musculoskeletal injury risk while improving productivity and workerwellbeing.

Your Responsibilities as a Senior Ergonomist:



  • Conducton-site ergonomic assessmentsin industrial environments (e.g., manufacturing, warehousing, distribution,logistics, construction, utilities).
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritizeergonomic risk factorsrelated to manual material handling, repetitive tasks, awkward postures, vibration, and forceful exertions.
  • Developpractical, cost-effective ergonomic solutions, including engineering controls, administrative controls, and tool/equipment recommendations.
  • Collaborate withEHS, Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance teamsto implement ergonomic improvements.
  • Apply published design standardson workstation design, equipmentselection, process changes, and job/task design.
  • Supportinjury prevention efforts, including analysis of MSD trends, root cause investigations, and return-to-work accommodations.
  • Prepare concisetechnical reports, risk assessments, and recommendationseither withinourclients'variousreporting systemsoras a standalone report.
  • Stay current onergonomics standards, best practices, and regulatory expectationsrelevant to industrial work.
  • Support andmaintainstrongcommunicationsbetween our clients and our Apex leadership.


What we're looking for:

Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree or higher inErgonomics, Human Factors, Industrial Engineering, Occupational Health, ora relatedfield.
  • 5-10+ years of professional ergonomics experience, with anemphasis onindustrial settings.
  • Demonstratedexpertisein:
  • Manual material handling analysis
  • Task and job hazard analysis
  • Ergonomic assessment tools (e.g., REBA, RULA, NIOSH Lifting Equation, Strain Index)
  • Provenability toforprojectmanagementresultinginimplementation of solutions that objectively improve injury risk or process efficiency.
  • Strong communicationskills with the ability tounderstand andinfluence front-line workers through senior leadership.
  • Willingness and ability totravel regularly(with per diem expenses covered for assignments) for afew days up to multi-weekstaysin various locations across the US.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);


Preferred Qualifications



  • Professional certification (e.g.,CPE, CIE, CSP, CIH, PT, OT).
  • Experience working withinEHS or injury prevention programs.
  • Familiarity withmanufacturing processes, automation, heavy equipment, and material handling systems.
  • Experience supportingmulti-site or enterprise-level ergonomics programs.


Physical & Travel Requirements



  • Ability towalkindustrial facilities, climb stairs/ladders, andobservephysical work activities.
  • Ability to lift light equipment (e.g., measurement tools, laptops).
  • Willingness to travelfrequently, including overnight stays.


Job Location:

Seattle / Puget Sound area isoptimal, but remotesupportcould be acceptablewith travel(easy access to an airportisa must).

Travel Expectations:

Travel will be up to 75%with variation depending on stage of the project and need for on-site presence.
