What You'll Do Day-To-Day

    Ensure effective performance of engineering assignments.
  • Plan and direct the timely execution of engineering activities, as assigned.
  • Ensure projects, initiatives, and processes comply with established policies, objectives and customer standards.
  • Ensure adherence to government, organization and customer engineering standards and procedures.
  • Monitor goals, objectives and standards of performance for assigned team members.
  • Work interactively with customers and clients to develop strong relationships.
  • Research and assess best practices, proposing methods and improvements.
  • Work on special projects, as directed.
  • Perform other related duties and tasks, as required.

You may have also acquired the following skills:

  • Leadership experience supervising direct reports across multi-discipline work groups of engineers and technical specialists. Disciplines may include mechanical, chemical, electrical, and instrumentation & control
  • Advanced knowledge of related engineering and technical standards, techniques, and criteria; demonstrated leadership ability to manage multiple tasks and projects through subordinates, other work groups, and suppliers
  • At least 10 years in an electrical engineering and experience in industrial automation, instrumentation and controls is preferred
  • Preferred skills include design/program of PLCs (Allen Bradley), Oversee of field work including new installations, integration into existing systems, and troubleshooting
  • Strong management capabilities: ability to identify and grow talent, build a sense of community within a team, and improve the output of another engineer
  • Experience in overseeing instrumentation calibration programs


What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. Dependent on the position, degrees in Physics, Engineering Technology and Engineering Science may also be accepted.
  • Minimum of 7 years of related experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, management and customers as required.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Advanced problem identification and problem resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to manage multiple tasks and projects through subordinates.
  • Strong analytical ability and problem identification/problem resolution skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with specialized software tools and programming languages as required by the role.


Total Rewards Package

  • Salary: $126,000 - $171,000 and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
