As a team member of Shared Services Quality Management (SSQM), you need to commit to these ideals of developing a proactive, customer centric culture to foster trust and confidence among customers and improve value for all our stakeholders. As a Shared Services Quality Management Senior Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our services meet the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for developing and implementing quality assurance protocols, administering local operating procedures, conducting reviews and inspections, analyzing data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement. This position does not provide employment pursuant to the terms of a STEM OPT Training Plan. Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct quality reviews and inspections of processes within Shared Services to identify areas for improvement and adherence to quality standards.
- Participate in planning efforts for future quality reviews, self-assessments, and risk management activities.
- Manage local operating procedures and guidance documents.
- Analyze quality controls, data, and metrics to identify trends and areas for enhancement.
- Implement corrective actions to address discrepancies or issues identified during reviews, audits, and inspections.
- Facilitate risk management analysis of Shared Services processes and programs.
- Evaluate and apply analytics, automation, and AI enabled tools to strengthen quality assurance and risk based decision making.
- Promote best practice sharing across Shared Services functions.
- Subject matter expert for the Con Edison quality management system.
- Use industry accepted quality tools, standards and processes (ISO 9000, 31000 etc.).
- Maintain and improve Shared Services Quality Management policies, procedures, and processes.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in quality management.
Qualifications
Required Education/Experience
- Master's Degree and minimum 2 years of full time quality related experience or
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of full time quality related experience or
- Associate's Degree and minimum 8 years of full time relevant work experience including quality control, assurance, or management.
Relevant Work Experience
- Experience with quality management, quality assurance, auditing, quality control, and process controls, required.
- Experience with drafting policies, procedures, and controls (compliance, audit or risk controls preferred), required.
- Adept with technology and highly proficient with the Microsoft Suite of product including SharePoint, required.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills and can develop relationships and effectively interact with employees throughout the company, required.
- Demonstrate analytical skills, required.
- Ability to complete multiple assignments with changing priorities while still meeting deadlines, required.
- Ability to learn new technologies as required for the job using documentation and other available resources, required.
- Proficiency in project management, preferred.

Physical Demands
- Ability to work in inclement weather and adverse conditions (i.e., excessive heat, cold, noise, confined spaces)
- Ability to travel to company locations to work on storm restoration and heat contingencies
Additional Physical Demands
- The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability and willingness to respond during off-hours, work overtime (including weekends and holidays) as needs dictate.
