DESCRIPTION OF WORK
-
This position is responsible for organizing, maintaining, and digitizing records within the Training and Certification System (TACS), ensuring that all files are complete, properly scanned, and accurately stored. These records include sensitive information related to municipal police officers, Act 235 agents, academy instructors, and police department compliance, such as employment histories, certifications, denials, revocations, and hearing documentation. The role also supports the integrity and accessibility of critical data for the Office. In addition to records management, the position provides comprehensive clerical support across all Units, including typing, editing, proofreading, and formatting documents in accordance with PSP standards. Responsibilities include scanning and uploading materials to TACS, mailing Act 120 and Act 235 denial and revocation letters and tracking their distribution, and assisting visitors and callers in the receptionist's absence by offering guidance on procedures and document submission requirements.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:00AM to 4:00PM, Monday thru Friday with a 30-minute lunch.
- Free parking at this facility.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes). -

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- One year or more of experience using Microsoft Word.
- One year or more of experience using Microsoft Excel.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
