About the Role

We're looking for a highly accountable and strategic leader to join our team as Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Lead. In this role, you will be accountable for compliantly launching and stabilizing charging depot operations. This role partners closely with the Product Manager, Energy & Infrastructure to translate product requirements into safe, reliable, and scalable physical deployments. You will lead utility engagement, site evaluation, end-to-end program management, and site supervision through construction and commissioning to meet uptime, safety, and operational performance targets.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the end-to-end infrastructure development plan for depot operations aligned to client service area needs.
  • Evaluate and short-list candidate depot locations and drive alignment decisions with stakeholders.
  • Define site requirements including traffic flow, charger power needs, safety, and expansion potential, translating into site scope and budgets.
  • Own utility engagement to validate capacity, secure interconnection pathways, and manage energization timelines.
  • Manage full rollout lifecycle including design, permitting, procurement, construction, commissioning, and go-live.
  • Select and manage EPC/EPCM partners ensuring quality, safety, compliance, schedule, and cost control.
  • Lead launch-to-steady-state execution including commissioning, operational ramp, and defect resolution.
  • Establish monitoring and maintenance processes to meet uptime and service expectations.
  • Develop supply chain strategies including spare parts, warranties, and vendor performance management.
  • Build and continuously improve deployment playbooks for multi-depot rollouts across geographies.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, operations, or related field required
  • 7+ years of experience in infrastructure delivery roles including end-to-end deployment
  • Experience leading utility engagement and interconnection processes
  • Experience managing EPC/EPCM partners and construction execution
  • Experience establishing O&M models including SLA design and maintenance strategies
  • Ability to travel as required, have a valid driver's license, and perform on-site supervision duties

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP or equivalent designation
  • Experience in EV charging, utilities, energy projects, or fleet depot environments
  • Experience operating in high-uptime or 24/7 operational environments
  • Strong understanding of permitting, safety practices, and compliance requirements
  • Experience with AV or fleet operations

Location: San Diego, CA

The hiring base salary range for this position is $101,900 - $140,140 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual's knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
