Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification. The position is not eligible for overtime compensation for all hours worked over 40 in the designated workweek.

About the Position

Step into a high-impact leadership role where you'll shape the direction of the Support Services Division within the Maricopa County Flood Control District!

As the Support Services Manager, you will drive accountability, exceptional customer service, and a culture of continuous improvement. You'll lead and develop a talented team of specialists, fostering collaboration, growth, and strong performance. This role oversees division and facilities budgets with a focus on strategic, compliant resource management, including procurement. You'll also lead space planning and Tenant Improvement projects, partnering with county departments and vendors to deliver results on time and within scope.

You will play a critical role as the custodian of records, ensuring transparency and compliance-overseeing public records requests, legal holds, and the full records lifecycle, from archiving to secure destruction.

We Require

  • Three years of experience supervising professional administrative, facilities, and office personnel
  • Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, or related field
  • An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and/orjob-related experience may substitute for therequired education on a year-for-year basis

Job Contributions

  • Develop strategic plans, goals, and projects for the Support Services Branch
  • Define, prioritize, and execute projects that improve operations and facilities
  • Fulfill the role of Records Manager for the District, providing record retention expertise and coordinating responses to public records requests
  • Consults with the levels of management, operational, and technical staff regarding the delivery of administrative support for all units within the District
  • Provide support and lead initiatives using OnBase to improve District processes and records management
  • Ensure that branch operations support the department's mission and goals by performing needs assessments and analyzing the effectiveness of service delivery
  • Develop, implement, administer, and execute the support Services and Facilities budget
  • Oversee maintenance and repair of Flood Control buildings and satellite yards
  • Participate in the forecast of additional funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies

Working Conditions

  • This position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
  • Exerting 20-25 lbs. occasionally, 10-25 lbs. frequently, or up to 10 lbs. constantly
