6500 - Plant Administration - JANITOR


POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Plant Janitorial employee is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary manufacturing environment. This position supports plant operations by ensuring production areas, offices, restrooms, and common spaces meet cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards.


Work Days: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday 4pm-12am



QUALIFICATIONS:



  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous janitorial or industrial cleaning experience preferred
  • Ability to measure and mix chemicals.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to stay on task without immediate supervision.


  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
  • Gather and empty trash.
  • Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
  • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
  • Mix water and detergents/cleaners in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
  • Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
  • Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
  • Follow-cleaning procedures outline on daily cleaning checklist.

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:



  • Ability to work in an environment that is extremely hot, humid in the summer months, and cold in the winter months.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:



  • Ability to quickly move your hand, your hands together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, lift, manipulate or assemble objects. (frequently)
  • Ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands.
  • Must be able to see in low light conditions, hear, and speak clearly.
  • Ability to stand and change positions frequently over an eight-hour period.
  • Ability to exert muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects. (Lifting requirements up to and including 30 lbs) (frequently)
  • Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and or legs.
  • Must be able to reach and lift above shoulders (frequently)
  • Ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles repeatedly or continuously to lift objects. (frequently)
  • Ability to work in environment that is extremely hot, humid in the summer months, and cold in the winter months., reaching above head (occasionally), stooping (occasionally), twisting (occasionally), and bending at waist (occasionally).
  • Ability to stand, walk, and change positions frequently over an eight-hour period. The position requires walking up to 8 hours per work shift.
  • Ability to exert muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects. (Lifting requirements up to and including 30 lbs) (frequently)
  • Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and or legs.
  • Must be able to reach and lift above shoulders (frequently)



VISUAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:



  • Vision to read measurements and clearly observe.
